A cheap second-hand bookstore find. I'm going to read this at some point, but any local bookcrossers willing to read it before me are very welcome to do so. I just hope I'll get the book back some day.

Got this book from harmaja today. Thanks!

Book description:
Ruth Young and her widowed mother, LuLing, have always had a tumultuous relationship. Now, before she succumbs to forgetfulness, LuLing gives Ruth some of her writings, which reveal a side of LuLing that Ruth has never known. . . .

In a remote mountain village where ghosts and tradition rule, LuLing grows up in the care of her mute Precious Auntie as the family endures a curse laid upon a relative known as the bonesetter. When headstrong LuLing rejects the marriage proposal of the coffinmaker, a shocking series of events are set in motion–all of which lead back to Ruth and LuLing in modern San Francisco. The truth that Ruth learns from her mother’s past will forever change her perception of family, love, and forgiveness.

I never did get around to reading this book. I liked The Hundred Secret Senses, which was the first ever BookCrossing book I caught, and I wanted to read more by Amy Tan, but it looks like I have too many other books to read. :)

It's great to see this old BC-books still in circulation! It has taken the book a bit over two years to make it from the Vuosaari Library to the OBCZ-bookshelf next to Maria's cafeteria in the shopping mall (400 meters, perhaps).
I left the book there, but I guess I'll have to make a new release journal because the location is wrong here.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I found the book in from the OBCZ Maria's Café, but had to make a new release note if there is somebody out there who wants it as the last release note tells that the book was left in the Library of Vuosaari a bit over two years ago. IT IS HERE! Please come and read it!
