Football players return to their old home town for their coaches funeral. High school football was a near religious activity in this small town. The players relive their past and the love-hate relationship with the coach and his infulence on them over the years since graduation.
This book has so far been passed from person to person and I plan to continue the trend. It's a quick read and very well written as are most Grisham books. I enjoyed the book even though I'm not into football or other team sports. Grisham's style and character development makes it interesting in terms of good old fashioned human relations.
