Journal Entry 4 by KarmelK from Jerome, Michigan USA on Monday, June 12, 2006
Came in the mail today. I've already been looking through it. I dreamed about the Michigan State official wildflower last night. The trillium, it's pure white with three petals.Tbe book says a flower is "...a reminder of the beauty and stillness of Nature, and of the need to get back to that beauty and stillness in yourself."
I agree with that. So maybe I should turn off this computer and take a walk in the woods. But then who would find the next journaller for this book?
Thanks for the book Spazcat.

ROTFLMAO!!! Love your entry KarmelK! "Dreams" arrived yesterday, looked just a little, then I was off to watch "the boys of Summer" play (we won!).
Not Cowboys :( ... but they'll do to look at anyway....for the nonce....

cover says"with an introduction to dream psychology," and with a pic of Freud on the front, yup I would expect it to be full of sexual interpretations.
lol--he must have been soooooooooooo repressed--everything was about sex--

where have all the cowboys gone....long time pa-assing....

Journal Entry 7 by wingerishkigalwing from Salt Lake City, Utah USA on Thursday, July 27, 2006
the 1st 60 pages of this book are "An Introduction to Dream Psychology," and gives a brief overview of Freudian, Jungian, and Gestalt approaches to the Interpretation of Dreams. And, according to the author, any of these approaches may or may not apply to any given dream. Some dreams just are what they are. LOL!!! Well, Duh!

Anywayyyyyyyy, I piddled about with this book, reading the intro bit by bit at bedtime, and skipping about here and there and elsewhere in the "dictionary"......and a most interesting thing occured.....I started dreaming.......! Ok, I know we all dream, but even tho I'm awake a dozen times a night, I'm lucky if I can remember have dreamed twice a year. In the last month, since reading this off and on, I've been remembering dreams, or parts of them, 3-4 times a week!!! I do look up the given definition of symbols, and sometimes they might apply, but more often not. And some are just a load of horse-hockey. For example "Thirteen: The number 13 symbolizes evil or misfortune; bad luck. (Judas was the 13th at the table for the Last Supper with Jesus.)" What a 'religousist' statement! This should affect the dreams of non-Christians???

Oh well....and as KarmelK said, there are numerous sexual interpretations, which is largely why I've changed where I originally planned on releasing this. So, KK, send on the second batch of cowboys, I'm ready to dream about a smoking gun!!!
