Honestly, I don't remember much about this book, other than that I couldn't really get into it. I know I read the whole thing, but it just wasn't for me. It's something about this guy's uncle Julian and a score of music that has some mysterious mystery surrounding it (does that sound like a tautology to you? Lol!) So I'm basically passing it on because I'm sure somebody will love it - after all, Sophie Masson's a great author! - but it's just not my thang.

So I was messing around in MCC 2 before a lecture when I noticed a book sitting on the piano stool....

I liked it, it took a while to get into and to start with the character got on my nerves a little. But after about a third of the way in I liked it.
It is a seemingly innocent account of a man returning home to his uncle that he grew up with, confronting past emotions/situations and such. It EVENTUALLY turns out to be an interesting suspense novel witha unique (to me) story telling style. I have given it a 7 as it does teeter on the convoluted side of things (overly loquiatious for no reason at times and the female writer didn't quite portray the first male character succesfully) but, like I said a very unique read and interesting plot.

This book had a good plot but was unfortunately let down by the writing style. Too much of the story was mis-arranged and it made it hard to follow. There was a nice twist to the end though.

I left the book on a chair in the waiting room of the Jolimont Centre. 8:03am (03/08/05).
