A friend recommended this author, and I had heard good things about this specific book, so I picked it up from a sale table.
What can I say about a story narrated by a dog whose thoughts are occupied by philosophy and life after death? It was charming, thoughtful, often funny, and sometimes sad. One part that stood out for me was how well it showed the way people treat each other, the kindness as well as the cruelty, by looking at the world from a dog's point of view. And it was certainly an interesting commentary on homelessness. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Release planned for Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Starbucks Coffee at Murray and Scholls Ferry in Beaverton, Oregon USA.
This is only a semi-wild release (LOL!) but I'm doing release notes anyway (long story). I plan to leave this book at Starbucks sometime in the late afternoon for another bookcrosser to find. Let's hope this plan works!
