This was my first Katie Macalister and won't be my last. She's obviously a talented author whose unique view on vampires is refreshing compared to some of the other books out there.

I liked that she created her herione as a strong and capible woman with flaws, making it a lot easier to relate. All the characters were well defined and humorous. Great villains too.

Warm, witty, sexy and entertaining ... definitely a good read!

It's here. Looks good. Hopefully better than the Anita Blake I just finished (and was unimpressed with). Vampires are fun, I can't wait to see how this authors portrays them. :)

First off: Way way way better than Anita Blake. I don't really consider them comparable either.

The author's blurb on the back of this book explained a lot. Romantic comedies explains some of what struck me as weird--though I do really wish the author (at least in the 2 stories by her I've read) would find some method of humor other than really irritating supporting character. Same one, different names, irritating in both and not funny to me.

It's a fun read. Nice fluff. Enjoyable take on the vampire romance. I am not entirely sold on the first person style, but I grinned several times, which is kinda the point.

If I find another of hers, I'll read it. Not going actively seeking them out (gah, those supporting characters), but I'll pick one up if I find it at a book sale.

Enjoy!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

In the women's restroom.

A few years ago I tried to release books in restrooms of all buildings on campus. I apparently missed Law (since it wasn't in my release zone list). Fixed!

I just found this book in the ladies' law school restroom. I'm looking forward to reading it and being a part of bookcrossing!
