Where Does Maisy Live is a lift the flap board book. The pages are thick and sturdy and the flaps are made easier to lift by having a half circle cutaway where one would dig their finger to lift the flaps and this feature probably reduces damage to the book as well. The illustrations are childlike and the text looks like it is written rather than printed. The story itself is simple, it asks the title question repeatedly at a number of different homes with the reply "No but ...... do!" The last page the reader finally finds out where Maisy lives.

There is a whole series of books about Maisy geared for the babies and toddler market by Lucy Cousins. Maisy seems to be a very popular character by the indications of the number of different titles, games and toys I have seen in the shops.
