Michael Korda's "The Immortals" is a far more enthralling fictional account of the life of Marilyn Monroe than "Blonde". Most people are fascinated by the alleged affair between Marilyn and JFK, however Joyce Carol Oates barely touches on this area, instead mainly focussing on the effects of the main character's damaged relationship with her mother.
