I loved the writing style, and I love how the author hones in on the lives of the underdogs in this African country. Brutality is never in the forefront but runs as an undercurrent throughout.

I think I bought this from my local charity shop and just after that a friend was raving about it on social media, which is why I picked it up and started to read it not so long after finding it.
