Ariel has joined the Department of English and American Studies to study the works of Thomas E. Lumas under the eminent Saul Burlem, but he has gone missing just before she arrives. When she finds a copy of Lumas's most elusive work, The End of Mr Y, in a second-hand bookshop, she's really excited - but the book is rumoured to be cursed and it seems that Burlem found a copy just before he disappeared. A gripping but disturbing book.
