Definitely Hunger Games vibes (but make it queer)! The normalisation of the trans characters was so cool.
I was a bit disappointed by the ending (and not just because I need to wait for a sequel) - it felt like it was building up to a much more ambiguous "are the Obsidians really bad guys?" moment that never actually happened :-( But otherwise really enjoyed it - especially the chance to revive some of my very rusty español!
