Set in Victorian London where Dora Damage, wife of a bookbinder who becomes invalided, adopts the family trade to keep ruin at bay. She finds herself pulled into the darker side of publishing, binding books for a very specialist market... I enjoyed this and "romped" through it in a weekend. Not quite Sarah Waters but certainly not boring and Dora is a winning heroine.
