The World on a Plate
2 journalers for this copy...

I've had this on the shelf for a while. I hope to read it this week.

Mina Holland takes us on a foodie trip around the world, sharing the cuisines and histories of the cuisines of 40 different cultures. She focuses a great deal of the book on European cuisines, especially France and Italy.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I read parts of this and was really fascinated by the breadth of recipes and narratives about the cultures surrounding the specific foods. But I quickly got exhausted because there were SO many different cultures / countries represented. The recipes are mostly straightforward and appropriate for the mid-level chef (think New York Times level recipes).
