Cats, Joe Grey, & Dulcie, living, with adopted humans in, sleepy little Molena Point, Californian lead very different lives to their contempories being able to think like and talk to humans. Curiosity however, a trait common to all cats, also presents this pair with key dilemmas when they aim to solve puzzles but discover criminal intent behind events. Part of their dilemma... how can they expose criminals without letting ordinary, untrustworthy humans in on the secret that certain select cats can think and talk? Cats like them...

Not exactly the fluffy light read I was expecting, this had more intriguing depth. For which I can only offer thanks. Actually, there is charmingingly tender interaction between the two dangerously curious felines, which lightens the scary moments encountered by these intrepid and enterprising furry investigators.

Left for me by rainbow3 from her Christmas / New Year visit, as part of the 2022 Advent calendar of books.

This looks like fun from an author I have never heard of before but see by your notes may be a little more thoughtful than may be suggested by the illustrative cover.
