I really love the His Dark Materials Trilogy, so I ordered this from Paperbackswap. This book is a collection of essays about the trilogy. The authors come from a variety of background and examine the trilogy from many different angles: philosophy, theology, science fiction, fantasy, psychology... Some are rather serious, some quite humorous. Things like what would our world be like if we have daemons, the use of drugs in the book, how the trilogy is different from standard children books... It lets me dwell in Lyra's world a little longer and explore a bit deeper.
