We're reading this book in January 2023 with the ZIWA online book club.
UPDATE: From the first page to the last, this book is absolutely gripping! I'm literally thinking about it the whole time.
Lydia and her 8 y.o. son Luca are survivors of a Mexican narco cartel massacre and are on the run from its notorious boss Javier. They try to escape and take a route that is famous among the migrants - the Pacific Route, on La Bestia - a freight train, famous for its fatalities on the way to the US.
