Thirty-Three Teeth
2 journalers for this copy...
I first read this book in 2014 and found it so fun and so unique that I have been searching out others in the series ever cents. It’s one of two or three favorite mystery series’. When I came across this pristine used copy, I promptly picked it up to share the fun with another mystery-reader.
Below is my journal from my original copy.
Set in 1976 post revolutionary Laos, I found this a delightful excursion into a very different culture. Siri is a coroner, the State Coroner, but (thankfully, inmo) the book is not filled with the graphic horrors usually found in books where this is the protagonist's .profession. The writing is witty and wry, giving us a nice snapshot of a time in history and intriguing mysteries with a twist.

Sending this as part of a Secret Santa package, as I see the recipient is a fan of mysteries, and has none of these on her shelf.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I have! Merry Christmas!

Thanks, Secret Santa, for this book, too. I've not read this author before, but I do enjoy reading mysteries with the first mystery being why thirty-three teeth instead of the normal thirty-two. I look forward to reading this. Thanks again for the two packages of awesomeness.
