I've been a Beatles fan since the very beginning and thought I knew pretty much all there was to know. I was wrong! I really enjoyed this book, which is basically a somewhat chronological series of interviews with the 4 Beatles themselves and many, many others who were part of their lives, professional and personal, from before they were The Beatles right up to 1998, when this book was published. A lot of behind-the-scenes insights and commentary.
My only disappointment was that there weren't more photos! Each chapter opens with a photo but that was it.
Reserved for another fan who I think will love this.
What you have in your hands is an honest-to-goodness gift, no strings attached. You may keep it forever and ever, pass it on to a friend, or release it into the wild like I did.

This one is going in Donfiction's Xmas stocking. I think he will really enjoy it. We are evenly matched: his #1 is Paul, my #1 is John. Of course, I will hover...waiting for him to finish this book then I can sink my teeth into it. On the Rock & Roll book shelf we are now up to 15 books on The Beatles. As for books on each of the lads, you can add another 19 books, and then there are many where the Beatles are mentioned.
