I got this hardcover from local independent bookstore Balin Books (formerly Toadstool Books). It features the architecture and history of English parish churches from the earliest days through the 20th century. Stained glass windows, angel roofs, intricate sculptures on tombs, and much more! Some entries feature fascinating anecdotes, such as that about the detailed wax effigy of Sarah Hare, who died in 1744 of blood poisoning after pricking her finger on a needle while sewing - or at least that's the story. Her will described how she wanted herself memorialized, and her waxen image survives to this day!
