Piranesi lives in a House of endless halls, marble statues and occasional floods. He is mostly alone, but meets the Other regularly and talks to birds, statues and the 13 skeletons he's found in the House. Then one day there are signs that someone new has arrived in the House. Piranesi's familiar world starts to become strange and possibly dangerous.
Everyone who has read the book before me and told about it has said that you cannot tell much about the book without spoiling it. This is indeed true. I really liked this book, it was skillfully written and mysterious. It even has some subtle humour in it. I don't need to keep the book though, because once read, the surprise elements are gone (unless you have a bad memory :D).

Available, but I'd like this book to travel controlled at least for a while.
