Won this book from a Love Reading competition. It looks so good!

I always find the fact that 'More than 90% of rape and sexual assault victims knew their attacker', very frightening. I remember being shocked when I first read that, before thinking that most rapists would be strangers with no connection to the victim. I was well into my twenties when I learned that fact. Why are we not told about this at school!?

Good Husbands is about three women who each receive a letter from a dying women who claims she belongs to one of their husbands, she doesn't know which one as she was conceived when they gang raped her mother.

As the women investigate the contents of the letter, they look at their husbands, their own lives, their relationships. their kids, everything. I felt for all of them throughout the book. Even Stephanie, who at first is hard to warm to but once you understand her life a bit more, you get her.

I flew through this finding it hard to put down. Such a thought provoking story. Really makes you think about Rape, consent and what you would do if you were in that situation. What would you do if you found out you were living with a monster?
