One of ten rescued books from several boxes that came off a cruise ship, to be dumped if nobody wanted them. I could not let that happen!

Thought I had better read this quick as it is one I selected to read from my rescued books and it is on the Secret Santa wish list of my recipient.

When I first started to read this I was a little unsure that I was going to like it because I was just not engaging with any of the characters. For me it is important to at least like one of the protagonists in a novel but eventually I warmed towards a couple of them. I thought I had guessed the murderer but I got it wrong as per usual.

It is not one of the best books I have read, but easy to read. I haven't even read The Girl On A Train yet (her debut novel) although I have seen the film. I bought the book before the film was ever released but because it is a hardback and on a different shelf in another room I keep forgetting about it!

Anyway, this book is now reserved for my Secret Santa person as this book is on her wishlist.

I loved this book, it had me completely gripped (I enjoyed The Girl on the Train but for me this was even better)
