The futuristic suspense series stars Eve Dallas, a New York City police lieutenant with a dark past. Initially conceived as a trilogy, readers clamored for more of Eve and the mysterious Roarke. It’s April 2061 and Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her partner Detective Delia Peabody are called to the murder scene of pediatrician Dr. Kent Abner when suddenly Eve realizes that he died from a toxin released from a recently delivered golden egg.

The mystery element is brilliant, everybody seems the culprit but it’s hard to pin point the one. The pace is good, the writing is crisp as is expected from a good mystery novel. You will want to read every paragraph
