A lovely comfortable read. A Bollywood actor has been kidnapped and Inspector Chopra with his baby elephant Ganesha investigates. What's not to like? I love the elephant and his instinctive awareness of oncoming trouble. When Chopra finds himself in a sticky situation he is arrested and then thrust into a notorious prison to languish without a hearing. There is also a sub-plot with his other assistant Sub-Inspector Ranwalla who is investigating a story involving some eunuchs. Great stuff!
