This is a beautifully written, somewhat hypnotizing debut novel from Aussie David Allan-Petale. Evocative descriptions of place transport the reader to harvest time in Western Australia and a family experiencing their last harvest on their farm. Themes involving shattered relationships, the driving need for love, acceptance, forgiveness and redemption combine to make this a compelling read.
