Enjoy the book!
I read another copy of this book in 2006. This si what I wrote about it right after I read it...
The story is of librarian Henry DeTamble and his relationship with paper sculptor Clare Abshire from meeting her in a meadow during her youth through their marriage. I am not usually a fan of time travel books, but I liked how the author arranged the story. My favorite parts were where Henry DeTamble was visiting with himself at different ages. Sometimes I thought the book was a bit too long and drawn out. I think the ending could have been more effective had it ended a few chapters earlier. Nevertheless, the characters were appealing and seemed real despite Henry's time traveling. I felt great compassion for Henry and all of his difficulties.
