I got this hardcover from Better World Books. It's a novel set mainly in New York and centering on the Christodora House - an actual historic building in Manhattan's East Village - and spanning the decades from the 1980s through the 2020s. The characters include immigrants, artists, AIDS activists, and more, and the story follows them through the political, social, and economic turmoil of the passing decades.
