I got this slim hardcover from Better World Books. It's a charmingly illustrated account of the life and lore of a hare, told in lyrical prose and with many poetic names for the creature: the hare-kin, the swift-as-wind, the stag of the cabbages, the fidgety-footed-one... Hares are shown bounding through flowery meadows, evading predators in moonlit graveyards, filching cabbages, and casting a shadow on the moon. The final few pages feature text about hares and their history and habits.

I left this book in my Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
