I got this softcover at a yard sale in Hudson NH, for another release copy.

I'd read How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories a while back - it's set in the same 'verse and looks at some events in the life of the Cruel Prince himself. While I did enjoy some of those stories, I wasn't intrigued enough to read the original books; it's clear that the characters have a really terrible time through much of the narrative {wry grin}. But the cover's really lovely and the troubled relationships between the fey and the mortals could be intriguing.
