So cute! I'd already some experience with Rei Toma's work so knew to expect very cutesy illustrations but very dark themes to the story. Most negative reviews focused on this. I personally like how Rei Toma takes on the issues. Asahi straight out asks the Water Dragon if he's some kind of perv! lol So funny!
For the Water Dragon's part, at least with this volume, he doesn't really know much about humans and doesn't seem to have any actual sexual interest in Asahi. Thankfully! But he has claimed her as his bride, but more in a possession kind of way. He's so clueless as to how humans work and function that he nearly allows her to die from starvation. But it's not just because he is a god, because the other gods are the ones that point it out to him. His isolation?

The art in this book is amazingly beautiful and ethereal. This isn't a series that I had heard about before you sent it spatial. However, I very much enjoyed reading it and will be seeing if the library has further volumes available.
