I bought a second copy. I first reviewed this book here.

It turns out that EAB, although she grew up reading Donaldson's picture books, had never read this one. So when I saw it in the Oxfam shop, I bought it. She has now read it, and I have re-read it, and it can be released.

The cover picture shown here is that which came up on the search, but this copy actually has the same cover as the one I first read (follow the link above). That cover gives Jumbeelia just the right unthinking-child expression on her face, where the cover shown here makes her look older and too intelligent to play a prank like this. (Yes, I know I could have changed the picture, but I wanted to be able to share the comparison.)

I left the book outside a block of flats on Lydgate Road. I'm not sure where this counts as - Bitterne? Thornhill? Hightown? It had gone by the time we left.
