Blurb:
One spy.
One dangerous book.
One deadly mission.

Irene must be on top of her game or she'll be off the case — permanely.

Irene is a professional spy for the mysterious library, which harvests fiction from various realities. And kng with her enigmatic assistant Kai she's posted to an alternative London. Their mission — to retrieve a dangerous book. But when they arrive its already been stolen. London's underground factions seem prepared to fight to the very death to find her book.

Adding to the jeopardy, this world is chaos infested — the laws of nature bent to allow supernatural creatures and unpredi table magic. Irene's new assistant is also hiding secrets of his own. And soon she's up to her eyebrows in a heady mix of danger, clues and secret societies. Yet failure is not an option — the nature of reality itself is at stake.

'I absolutely loved this... Flavoured with truly unique mythology and a dash of the eldritch' N. K. Jemisin

What a treat, really enjoyed it. Goodness me what labyrinthine plotting, more than a few twists. And some dragons!

Having this copy in hand reminds me I have yet to search out more of the series, will get onto that by making sure they are on at least one of my wishlists.

So sure this was my second BC copy, which leads to the question, where is the first? Know I really enjoyed this and as this is the first in a series I expect my first copy of this sits awaiting my working up a whole chunk of detailed notes into readable text. As it may be a while till I get round to more in series I'll want to have a reminder of the setup.

Meanwhile, this copy to be released somewhere soon while I am on holiday in Stonehaven, Scotland.
