One of many books that I recently acquired for the purposes of sharing it with others. I snagged this from a Little Free Library because I just recently listened to the Audiobook of it (read by the author) and was telling Melydia how good it was. I found a copy of I Feel Bad About My Neck in a Little Free Library earlier this week and picked it up for her. Now I found this one in hardcover and I thought she would enjoy it, since modern cars = no CD player and she cannot enjoy the audiobook.

My review of the audiobook:
My brief relationship with this charming audiobook could possibly, in the hands of a talented writer such as Nora Eprhon, be turned into a lovely anecdote or a funny scene in a movie. But I am not Nora Ephron. I found this book in a local Little Free Library and knew I had to snap it up. I drove to the beach this morning (Memorial Day 2022), thinking I was clever enough to beat the traffic. And there was no traffic on the way there. But it took me an hour to go the 1.1 miles from the off-ramp to the entrance to the park. And then it was so crowded that I did not get out of the car. But I had Nora and her funny stories to keep me company all the way there and then back home again. So it was not a wasted morning.

I will now spend some time with Wikipedia learning a little more about Nora's life, desptie her comments in this book that Wikepedia will tell me nothing in depth and some things will be inaccurate. I was intrigued by her relationship with Lillian Helman. I was charmed by her stories of being a journalist -- or trying to be -- in the early 1960s. I was touched by her issues with her memory. And her relationship with the D word and the O word. And the 25 things list was mostly true and a little confusing (was Cary Grant Jewish or not?)

My dear friend 6of8 gave this to me because I'd been wanting to read more stuff by this author. Thanks!
