Into mixed fiction bookbox
Taken out of the mixed fiction bookbox as to my shame I never actually read any Muriel Spark and am about to change this now !
No idea why it has taken me so long to finally read a Muriel Spark novel, particularly since I lived in Edinburgh for 16 years and even though the novel is set in the 1930s, it really captures Edinburgh society well.
The wonderful Miss Jean Brodie is of course the star of this clever and witty novel , her observations and teaching are exquisite.

Thanks kinedi, picked up THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE at our meeting, the Edinburgh BookCrossers Old Gang Meet-Up at Biblos bar and restaurant, yesterday, Sunday. Happily, I can soon tuck a reading of this under my belt at long last! Also I have a travel project in mind for it, watch out, Kinedi and booktwitcher both, for more in 2024!
Wonderful, on Sunday, to have the time with you kinedi and your chum up from Durham for a good natter, that was fun! I do hope your wee shopping trip was successful and then your train journey home was warm, cosy and relaxing.
After you left, BookCrosser Diane-Fraser and I sat for a while then when I was alone and a number of other customers also left, it was pretty quiet. So I did a little BC admin on my phone. While sitting in Biblos though I had taken the opportunity to ask some folk if they would like any books. Great success - I handed over two books to one of the wait staff and super great joy - a customer from Belgium returning there Monday took the SCOTTISH LEGENDS & MYTHS book I had registered with BookCrossing. You can imagine how thrilled I was!
I then I nipped around two corners to the Bedlam Theatre LFL and deposited seven books, good thing too as it was almost empty. Till we meet again, Cheers rainbow3
