I got this ex-library softcover from an online seller. It's based on a visual novel, a dating sim in which the characters are single fathers who are all gay or bi or pan. (The game has stellar reviews; I might try it some time.) This book is a collection of standalone stories, each themed on a different character.

Later: I really enjoyed this collection, which is for the most part very upbeat and sweet; a few steamy kisses here and there, and some imagined horror-from-the-shadows once or twice, but overall very light-hearted. There's the trip to the school reunion, dads battling over their kids' entries in the school science fair (with both dads being over-the-top competitive, to the point of depriving the kids of all the fun AND all the learning; luckily they fix things before the end), and the "let's make a film" story with warring internet subcultures in play.

One of my favorites is "Let the Right Dad In," which opens with black-and-white scenes of a long-haired vampire approaching the scruffy-bearded protagonist Robert. Cut to the alarm clock and a sunny day at a barbecue, where Robert is introduced to Damian Bloodmarch, who... looks and dresses very much like a Hollywood vampire, long flowing hair, ruffled neckcloth, waistcoat, cape, black-tinted fingernails... Despite appearing in full daylight, Damian still rouses Robert's suspicions, and he goes into full vampire-hunter/stalker mode, peering through Damian's windows (to see him telling off his rebellious teenaged son) and drinking blood-red liquid. (We get to see the label on the bottle - it's elderberry concentrate.) This all ramps up to what might be a stake-in-the-heart situation - or, as it happens, the revelation that Damian volunteers at a local animal shelter on his days off, wearing much more practical garb and offering Robert an adorable big-eyed puppy.

And my very favorite story here: "Dungeons & Daddies," in which (surprise!) the guys gather to play D&D; we get to see the players bickering and challenging the DM, and there are also scenes of the guys in character - also bickering, of course, but more stylishly.

[There's a TV Tropes page on the visual novel, with some entertaining tidbits.]
