I really don't know what to think of this. If this is truly non-fiction it is quite bizarre. But it reads - especially the extracts from the journals - rather too pat and entertaining. The incidents with things protruding through the grilles, the thought transference; it's too convenient.

Putting that aside, as a tale it is engrossing. Not the erotic romp I thought it might be but more of a field researcher's mildly salacious notes. The character of Gerald Foos is the real story.

I picked this up from the free shelves at BookFace in Pacific Fair, beside a bunch of BookCrossing releases from the 2020 World Convention as delayed and affected by Covid.

I mischievously contemplated leaving this at a motel but it would probably either be dumped in the bin or give the owner ideas.
