I have to say that when I started reading this thought it wasn't going to be for me. The narration was simplistic, a bit repetitive at times & the overall feel was a bit cutesy but it was so hard not to be charmed by Felix & her antics. The writing style made it an easy & quick read & I think even people who are not particularly cat lovers would be captivated by Felix.
A delightful story...& as a Huddersfield lass, I must admit by the end I did feel a sense of pride welling up that Felix is our cat :o)

Going off as part of a Yorkshire Day Exchange parcel

Received as part of my Yorkshire exchange parcel and it has the word cat in it so it probably wont remain unread for long. I've owned cats in the past but when I married DH I promised when Cindy went over the rainbow bridge I wouldn't have any more pets because of his asthma. After that I had to get my cat fix at my friends house - she had 4 Siamese but now they are all gone so I just sneakily stroke the neighbours cats sometimes.

A quick, gentle read which I enjoyed except for the part where Felix gets dressed up. I don't approve of dressing animals up to make them look like humans. They are beautiful as they are and should be allowed to keep their natural dignity.

Luckily, I put this in the bag I took into hospital with me, it was perfect as light reading for a convalescent and it has now landed on my husband's tbr (finally after 33 years of marriage he has decided to become an avid reader!)
