I rather like the world building and the story is interesting but the writing kept pulling me out of the story. Some of it simply didn't work for me and felt out of sorts with the storytelling.

Curious about the continuing adventure but not sure I can muddle through another 500 or so pages of book 2 only to be drawn further in and more infuriated. I think I'll leave well enough alone. For now at least.
