"The investigation of a vicious murder takes a curious turn when the prime suspect turns out to be Inspector Witherspoon himself.
Positively identified at the scene of the crime, the situation looks bleak for the kindly inspector. Thankfully, his ever-loyal housekeeper, Mrs. Jeffries, is determined to prove his innocence.
But when the body of a second victim is discovered, and the inspector once again falls under suspicion, the case becomes a race against time to clear the inspector's name and catch the killer before he can strike again."
