Ruth Ware manages to keep you turning the pages and trying to guess what happens next by slowly revealing a little information at a time. Unsurprisingly, relationships are fraught from the beginning. You can really feel the uncomfortable atmosphere in the house, even between those that are meant to be friends but you do wonder if they are really friends - even Nora and Nina. Without giving spoilers, I didn’t see the twists and surprises coming so I was surprised.
