Another Kitamura book I'm just not connecting with. I did just read 'A Separation' right before this one and it's interesting she does mention "intimacies" at the end of 'A Separation'. (also other similarities between this book and that.) As I'm reading, I'm trying to make the connection between what is contained within this book and the word "intimacies". I guess the word can mean many things. I don't love the dialogue-not-dialogue-not all within the same paragraph without quotation marks style of writing either. But again, this one just didn't grab me. It's interesting reading them side by side though. Ask me in a month, I will probably confuse them for the same book. Ah well, I can't be a fan of everything.
