Waking Merlin

Picked this up in a charity shop, unsure of what I would find.
Katrina, the protagonist, somehow blunders into Merlin's sleeping place when she's on a caving holiday. Merlin insists that she can't have woken him unles the country is in peril. So together they must divine the peril, wkae King Arthur, get authority to deal with the peril, and then do so.
The author has taken on board a particular version of the "traditional " Arthur story without giving much thought to what things might actually have been like, which jarred rather (although how Arthur, Lancelot and Guinevere solve their relationship problems was excellent!). But other than this we have a fast-paced, rather silly adventure. I particularly liked Desmond. A little far-fetched was how the government had managed to hush up the peril...
Not a keeper. For release.

I released this book. I can't remember when or where - I totally forgot to make notes - but it might have been in Morrison's in Wells on Friday 1 April. I think it was on the charity book stall in a supermarket, anyway.
