To finish the trilogy, Ping must go on another quest: this time to take the dragonet in her care to the dragon sanctuary at the far end of the empire. Ping has decisions to make at every stage - encountering the emperor again; encountering the false dragon keeper; encountering the deserted dragon haven; and so on. All make for a gripping read, and a satisfying ending.
