The book is good - the story telling, the way everything flows into the last chapter,... but somehow it didn't resonate with me. Not the way Little Fires Everywhere resonated with me for sure. Right now, I feelt I want to write about Little Fires and encourage the prospective reader to read that one instead.

Which is unfair to this good novel. I'm not the reader for it, that's all. I couldn't empathise with any of the characters, so I couldn't give less of a damn about this big family drama.

Hopefully this book will find somebody who will appreciate it more than me. It deserves it.
