A Tuscan Childhood
2 journalers for this copy...
Kinta Beevor lived a magical childhood that many can only dream of, growing up in a medieval castle in Tuscany, left to roam free by preoccupied parents. Sadly, there were war, illnesses and the passage of time, and thankfully there is this book who captured the lovely by-gone era.
If you are interested in learning more about the family, here's a link for Kinta's mother. (Curiously her father has a wiki entry in German but not English.) It's kind of crazy how many people mentioned in the memoir has their own wiki entry. While many of these names are not familiar to us after a hundred years, the author does come from an illustrious line of artists and authors, and she is the last of the family who have, between three women, recorded 100 years of Tuscan life.

And here's an article with a few photos of the castle Kinta grew up in.
