Different to my usual type of book, I thought the first part about Kate was a child's book but as it progressed I enjoyed the references to 1980s and early 2000s. Characters became more in depth. Quite a sad look at life.

What an exciting treat to find on a chilly February walk near the Chichester Harbour.

I enjoyed the beginning of the book and was a bit sad when the characters changed. The plot also promised much but sort of fizzled out. Still, an enjoyable holiday read.
