For once, I've read book 1 in a series first! This is a good opener and I do wonder how the story develops, but not enough to seek out the other 11 books in the series!
It was interesting to note how Light, the main character, starts out with the idea of using his new found power to rid the world of evil but rather quickly also uses it to protect himself.
