The Way Home
2 journalers for this copy...
I bought this book as a gift to myself.
I really enjoyed this book. I wish I was brave enough to venture out and build a home of my own like Terry did.
I will be passing this book along soon.

Merry Christmas to you :)
Thanks for sending me this book. I love that I *won* it in your contest. Never mind that I was the only one who entered, lol A gift is a gift. I hope to get to this book in the short term, and maybe by then, I can pass it along if we ever get back to in-person meetups!
This was an interesting read. I wavered between pure admiration and even envy at Terry's daring and perseverance in embarking on such an adventure alone and with a small child in tow, and sometimes being appalled at what sometimes felt like irresponsibility. To have so little money, and no real plan or knowledge and experience at all in building a home on her own, seems crazy. But sometimes, a person needs to do what must be done and sometimes, too much knowledge can be more of a hindrance than a help.
I wish the quality of the photos was better. It was sometimes difficult to actually see the pictures clearly.
Terry accomplished her dreams and I can only imagine the huge feelings of satisfaction and pride she must feel. I did feel very sad to read at the end that her husband left the family but life happens.
I am going to pass this along at our next meetup in a few weeks.
