A delightful "Ornament Exchange" package arrived in our rural mailbox yesterday, all the way from (what I assume is) sunny, warm Australia. So nice, Wombles that you included this adorable "oldish" edition of "A Christmas Carol" from 1962 - the year I turned 7. (I guess this really isn't that old, considering the first edition was published 179 years ago.) A formal thank you will appear in the Forum - so many lovely goodies from Wombles. Joyeux noël from Canada. PS: I reread this story every year. My late Mom (Bucklesbook) told me not too long ago, that in the early years of their marriage, my Dad (an English teacher) used to read this story aloud to her at Xmas.

Well, this book is getting around - which is great. It's the whole idea behind Bookcrossing. And, it's also my forever-favourite Xmas story. 'Sending this copy to my 2023 Ornament Exchange partner who lives in New York State. I've added a handmade bookmark with an image of Scrooge, (played by Rod Beattie) taken from a theatre program. Beattie's best-known role is that of Walt Wingfield (in the hilarious "Wingfield Farm" plays) where a very urban Toronto stockbroker packs it all in, having decided to give farming a try.

This is a favorite holiday movie we watch every year. I don't think either of us have ever read the book......adding this well traveled book to my TBR shelf.
