This has arrived safely with me. Thank you so much for granting my wish Poodlesister.

I found it hard to rate this one. There were parts of this book I really liked. I thought Chloe was a really interesting character and loved how she had a really strong sense of self. I also liked some of the more incidental characters, such as her neighbour Francisco. The flip side of this is how some of Chloe's interactions with men, even Hank, made me uncomfortable. I felt they were taking advantage of her at best and abusive at worst. It upset me that she felt that putting up with some of this was just part of life. It was interesting when in some situations in the book she was so assertive.
